Obituary of Helen Northrop

Helen Marie Lagenor Northrop (97), beloved wife of Vincent E Northrop entered into eternity November 4, 2021. Helen's loving children Bonnie Fay Northrop-McGuire (Jerry), Sandra E Northrop-Hurtubise (Douglas), Thomas V Northrop (Kathleen), and Kathie H Northrop. Grand children Wendy Parker (Ken), A. Ronald Peterson (Tracy), Scott T Northrop (Haven) Heather M Northrop, Emily R Rauscher, Holly M Rauscher, Great Grand children Wesley V Parker (Jacqueline), Shawn T Parker (Acacia), Marissa N Northrop, Jace V Rauscher, Great Great Grand children Raelyn M Parker, Kingston JV Parker, Kellen BE Parker. Helen grew up in Geneva, New York, married Vincent and moved to Buffalo New York. She worked in a factory during Vincent's service in the US Army. She was active in her Church, worked at Clover Industries for many years while raising her family. They retired in Arizona in 1982, and built a custom home in Cave Creek before it became part of Scottsdale. They bought a motor home and used it quite often to enjoy camping and boating activities. Later they settled at Palm Lakes Village mobile park, where Helen became a Newcomers welcomer. They enjoyed the parks activities and also were active Square Dancers. Other family members had also moved to Arizona including her sister, nieces, and grandchildren. There were always good times at family gatherings, and she was blessed to have great great grandchildren. Her husband Vincent passed in 2000 and was laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery as a WW II veteran. Helen will join him at the cemetery this coming Wednesday November 17th at 9:30 AM. Following there will be a celebration of life at 11:00 AM held at the Cross In the Desert United Methodist Church (12835 N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85032). Friends and Family are welcome.
